Product Description:The Hematoi descend from the unions of gods and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi pure-bloods have godlike powers. Children of Hematoi and mortals well, not so much. Half-bloods only have two options: become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill daimons or become servants in the homes of the pures. Seventeen-year-old Alexandria would rather risk her life fighting than waste it scrubbing toilets, but she may end up slumming it anyway. There are several rules that students at the Covenant must follow. Alex has problems with them all, but especially rule #1: Relationships between pures and halfs are forbidden. Unfortunately, she's got a major crush on the pure-blood Aiden. But falling for Aiden isn't her biggest problem--staying alive long enough to graduate the Covenant and become a Sentinel is. If she fails in her duty, she faces a future worse than death or slavery: being turned into a daimon, and being hunted by Aiden. And that would kind of suck.
My Thoughts:
I don't know where to even start. I want to get my love for this book across without just sounding like a squeeing fangirl that is babbling nonsense, but I'm not sure I will be able to do it. Half-Blood is just that amazing. This series is going right to the top of my favorites list!
Half-Blood picks up right where the prequel, Daimon, leaves off, with Alex running and fighting for her life. The action and adventure doesn't ever slow down. It is non-stop explosive from beginning to end. There is never a boring moment in Half-Blood, never a moment when the story is slow. I literally did not want to put this book down because I could not turn the pages fast enough to see what trouble Alex would find herself in next.
Alex is an amazing female lead. She is the kind of female lead that you find yourself wishing you could be at times, and at others biting your nails, hoping she gets herself out of the trouble. The kind of character that you fall asleep, and you're dreaming you are her (I did this!! LOL). Aiden, our male lead, is one of the most swoon worthy males I've read in a long time. Charming, classy, always putting others first, I couldn't help but fall more and more in love with him with each and every page. The relationships that were developed were deep and dynamic, between friends, family, and love interests.
Half-Blood is an action-packed thrill ride that pulled no punches. Full of fantastic mythology, great storytelling, forbidden love, and danger at every corner, Half-Blood has something for everyone. You just can't miss with Half-Blood or Jennifer Armentrout!

I am SO excited for this book! I am in the process of sort-of reading Daimon (I have to read it on my computer because I have no eReader so it's annoying) but anyway, the story sounds so amazing, and I haven't seen one bad review for it yet. (Hopefully I never will).
