Synopsis:
An ultimatum can break your heart....
Every night lead singer, Sed Lionheart whips thousands of women into a frenzy with his voice alone. But the stage is the only place Sed feels any passion since he lost Jessica...
If you’re not willing to break all the rules...
It shattered her heart, but law student Jessica broke off her engagement to Sed, determined to be successful on her own terms. But no other man can ever hold a candle to Sed...
Then a chance meeting and tortuously close quarters lead to uncontrollable flares of passion and rediscovery of their unique penchant for public encounters. Now, in addition to the risk of mutual heartbreak every time they get together, they’re in danger of truly scandalous public exposure...

My Thoughts:

I became a major groupie of Sinners in the first book, Backstage Pass. I could not wait to get my hands on lead singer Sedric Lionheart.  Sed is the definition of a masculine male. Strong, silent, not always good at expressing his emotions but he always means well. He is the kind of man that wants to be the one to take care of other people, but doesn't want to be the one taken care of. I knew it was going to take one awesome woman to tame this man. That’s where Jessica comes in.

Jessica, Sed’s ex-fiance, has never left his mind or his heart. He still carries her picture in his wallet and hasn't had any meaningful relationships since her. When they are reunited it definitely wasn't in a place, or way, I was expecting. It was such a funny reunion, even if it did have some bad consequences for others in the end. Jessica is a smart and tough girl, who fought hard to be independent and get what she wanted out of life. It seems things just keep kicking her back down.

Sed and Jessica together were a lot of fun. They may not have had as much kink as other Olivia Cunning couples, but they were still smoking hot and sexy together. Their “sightseeing” trips together were exciting and so fun!

I love that Sed and Jessica had to really fight for their relationship in Rock Hard. Their relationship was far from perfect and they really had to make compromises and find that middle ground to be able to make it work. I love that it wasn't just an easy reunion and all their past problems went away.

Rock Hard was full of sexy times, fights, make-ups, problems for the band, and lots of sinful Sinners fun.  It's not necessary to have read Backstage Pass before reading Rock Hard, but you do get more back story on the rest of the band, and especially Brian and his significant other that you would miss otherwise. If you like your sexytimes fun and your funtimes extremely sexy, Olivia Cunning is my recommendation for you!

  2. Yay!!! I'm so happy you loved Sed and Rock Hard! A lot of people don't like him, but I LOVE him. I agree that Sed & Jess aren't as kinky as the other couples, but their "encounters" are just as hot.

    1. I loved him too. He's such a big demanding pussy cat ;) Their sight-seeing makes me want to go check out the sights (in the summer...LOL).

    1. I'm glad you loved it. I think the first one was fantastic. Brian holds a special place in my heart with his magical fingers, but I can see why some people would like Sed better ;)

  5. This is one of the books I'm planning to get for my birthday in a few weeks. I read Backstage Pass just before Christmas and totally loved it. I try not to "devour" series, so I've held off as long as I could resist, but I *think* this'll be my Valentine read. Great review!

  6. Sigh I liked this one but I didn't love it. I was glad that Sed wasn't the asshole he was made out to be in the first book but the book didn't really fully grab me. I did like Jace's story a little more in Hot Ticket but I feel like some of the drama in the plot is just repeated over and over and I hope that Cunning can come up with something other than just each band memeber getting hurt and sent to the hospital.

Great review though and I'm glad you loved it. I can't wait to see what you think of Jace's story because it is full of emotions and past mistakes. :)
