Top Ten Books I HAD To Buy...But Are Still Sitting On My Shelf Unread

I did this topic once before in video form that you can watch here!

I'm going to pick ten new books for your viewing pleasure now (because I could go on and on with this topic!)

Young Adult Books
 1. From What I Remember - This is just going to have to be a great summer read now!

2. The Fault In Our Stars - Everyone loves it, I just don't know if I'm ready for ALL THE FEELS!!!

3. Fallen - It seems to be a love it or hate it book, but I have to read it, right?!?!?!

4. Hush, Hush - Same as Fallen

5. The Rivals - I ADORED Mockingbirds.  I even got Rivals early.  I can't believe I still haven't read it!

6. Everybody Sees The Ants - A.S. King is one of my FAVORITES.  This is the only one that I haven't read by her.  Maybe I'm just trying to savor it? ;)

7. The Forest of Hands and Teeth - I even have the whole series signed!

8. Casual Vacancy - It's J.K. Rowling, enough said.

9. Alice in Zombieland - THAT COVER!!!!

10. Eternal Ones - This one is for you Loretta!!

Which of these do you think I should move up my TBR?

  1. I read fallen like a couple weeks ago and you're right, it does seem to be a hit or miss. For me, it was a slight miss, but you may still enjoy it. Hush Hush and Casual Vacancy are books I REALLY want to read!!

  2. I LOVED 'Hush Hush' and at the time I read it, I really liked 'Fallen'. The series kind of got worse as it went on. They are definitely love or hate books.

  5. You just reminded me that I have a copy of Fallen that has been sitting on my shelf for years. I put it aside due to the love it/hate it dilemma but yeah, I definitely need to check it out for myself too! I really liked Hush, Hush. Definitely wait until you are in the right frame of mind for The Fault in Our Stars. And have some tissues ready! :)

  6. LOL on Casual Vacancy, I've seen that one on a TON of lists. And I'll ditto you on Fault in Our Stars, I've had a copy for a while but I feel in no hurry to get to it (prob because I've seen so many other reviews already...).

  7. TFIOS! Get on that.

FWIR was fun and silly, so when you want something light and mindless, it's perfect.

I'm saving my last A.S. King, Please Ignore Vera Dietz too, but she has a new book at the end of the week, so we can probably wait for that one now. ;)

So far as Alice in Zombieland goes, I think you'll probably like it, but go into it expecting neither Alice in Wonderland or zombies. It's a romance novel, but you read those, so I think you might still appreciate it. I was pissed, but it's not like we agree on things most of the time. :-p

    1. TFIOS...I know, I know, but the sobbing and the crying...sigh.

New book at the end of the week? What am I missing?

No Alice, and no zombies? Yeah..I think I was expecting both of those things....

  17. I fell on the hate it side of Fallen but I enjoyed Hush Hush. I haven't read second in series, though, because I need a refresher at this point on what happened in Hush Hush.

The Fault in Our Stars- I am not ready for all of the feels either! I think it hits way too close to home for me right now.

The Forest of Hands and Teeth is one I want to read, too, but haven't gotten a hold of it yet.
