Sad News - Saying Goodbye to Reading Angels

I have some sad news.

Blogger has been going crazy lately and just randomly screwing up the blog.  While Loretta and I considered going over to Wordpress, we realized that neither of us had enough passion for blogging anymore to pay for a domain and all the things that come with that change.  We had both hoped that taking on some amazing associate reviewers would help us out enough that blogging would be fun again.  Unfortunately after 6 years, I'm just burnt out.  Loretta and I are both busy with other areas of our life, and blogging has just been moved to the back burner.

We are going to close down Reading Angels, at least temporarily.  There is always a chance that we will get inspired again and want to come back strong, but as of now, we don't see that on the horizon.

We are both so thankful for all of you amazing people that have been readers over the years, all the great friends we have made through blogging, and all the fantastic authors we have been able to come in contact with along the way.

I'm sure we will both still be around on twitter, facebook, and goodreads.  You won't have to miss us too much ;)

We will miss blogging, but I hope everyone understands that this is what is best for us, and where we are at in our lives.

Hugs, and Happy Reading!!!

  1. I'm so sorry to hear that :(
But of course if you guys aren't inspired you shouldn't force yourself to continue. I hope you find the time to come back sometime!
    Good luck in everything! xx

  4. I'm so sorry to see you go but I completely understand. I won't lie and pretend that "retiring" has never crossed my mind. Blogging is a labor of love and it takes a lot of energy - sometimes more than we have.

I {{heart}} you ladies and wish you the best of luck. I'll DEFINITELY be seeing you around the intrawebs :D

  5. This is like, so insanely sad to me. Loretta knows she was the first person I ever contacted in this crazy world and she was the reason I wanted to start blogging. Ang, of course you've been a wonderful friend and a constant person that I go to for books to read and recipes to make! Iove you both so so very much and I wish nothing but the best for
You. Just check in okay?!? I'll miss you both too much for words. Xoxoxoxoxo

  11. Angela,

I'm so sorry to hear this, but I completely understand. You've been doing this 3 years longer than I and I have and I'm a month out from posting this same note on my blog if things don't change drastically. It's hard to stay excited about anything when you're just not anymore. I'll be keeping in touch and remember you can always find me at a few different places!!!

  16. It is funny, because I posted my Sentinel Tour post the other day and thought "maybe I should just move to Wordpress." Then I thought again. But I've been blah about it for the last several months, so I'm giving it through NaNoWriMo, then probably closing down shop or going on a very long hiatus. Love ya girl!!!

  20. Oh no! I understand completely though. Sometimes blogging just takes up too much time and isn't much of a priority anymore. I hope to see you girls on Twitter and Goodreads though :D

  25. On their arrival, Roth shows us his scenario rolex submariner replica from a couple of different angles, knowing we already seen it from the victim POV. We see louis vuitton outlet the girls stalked, their images displayed online in a private auction to bidders worldwide. The louis vuitton outlet winner in a couple of the auctions are wealthy thrill-seekers Todd and Stuart (Richard Burgi replica louis vuitton and Roger Bart, both of Desperate Housewives), who immediately make their excuses and jet off to Slovokia to claim their first kills. As the girls are maneuvered into position for easy louis vuitton replica capture, we learn a bit more about what makes them tick, as well as learning a bit more about the auction winners and the deeply evil people running the murder-for-dollars business.
